Standards of Academic Progress Intervention

Elgin Community College requires that students make satisfactory progress toward achieving their educational goals. Satisfactory academic progress is defined as the achievement of a 2.00 Standards of Academic Progress (SOAP) Cumulative Grade Point Average (SOAP CUM GPA) or higher. The SOAP CUM GPA is based on your grades for all credit hours attempted, including developmental classes.

Academic progress is monitored each semester once final grades are entered. Based on your final grades for your most recently completed semester, you are not currently meeting the standards for good academic standing.
